Ngapungai is a Mutti Mutti language word meaning Grandmothers.

Every circle represents a Grandmother in Spirit, showing how they work as our guardians and guides and how they are connected to one another too. The message of this artwork is centred on remembering. Remembering where we came from, and that they are and will always be apart of us. Every circle is unique and this felt very important to express because I wanted to honour all Grandmothers from all lineages.
