Long ago, when the world was young and the sky was still learning how to hold the stars, the old trees were given a sacred task by the Earth Mother—to listen, to remember, and to protect.
Each year, as the seasons danced across the land, the trees would grow a new ring in their trunks. But these were no ordinary rings. They were memory rings, spirit rings—etched with the whispers of wind, the footsteps of kin, the laughter of campfires, and the sorrow of farewells. Our Ancestors would sit beneath their branches and speak to them, share stories, sing songs, and cry truths into their bark. The trees never forgot.
This piece is a tribute to the tree spirits—our silent record keepers, our guardians, our teachers. It reminds us that nothing is truly forgotten. The land remembers. The trees remember. And through our art, we remember too.
